Transformation

With Miza Abu Dhabi and Slash, I went on a photo walk around Mina Zayed, Abu Dhabi. This area is dear to my heart and I've been around for almost two years. Over time I realized how important it would be to document it in its current state, as its development continues rapidly and old warehouses get taken down in place of new ones. That was the theme of this walk; transformation. We explored Mina Zayed and discussed the ways it's changing, and took closer looks at its old and new buildings and areas. We visited new businesses, and I could envision how Mina Zayed was going to become a proper cultural district very soon (though it already kind of is). As someone with a strong special connection to the the area, it's been great to see that new projects still take the shape of warehouses and keep the spirit of the area alive.

Since this was a photo walk, the subject matters of my photos were all over the place. Still, I took some of my favorite photos I've ever taken, and this is a collection I'm proud of.
