Mosque details: Fujairah

We live around such grand structures that we usually don't take the time to truly examine and appreciate. When you take a closer look, you notice fine intricate details that can leave you in awe, wondering how the level of detail was even achieved, and more greatly appreciating the fine work that went into it.

In Fujairah, my family lives near the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. It's a massive structure that sees hundreds of visitors every day. It's so massive that there's a track to run around it, which I've been around hundreds of times. Despite being there so often, there were so many architectural details and designs that I never noticed until I got up close and took these photos.

I tried to focus on tighter, narrower shots that really brought the sharp angles to focus, as well as the smaller designs on the walls and pillars. This shoot left me with a deep admiration of this mosque in a way that was different from before.
